Dorset Seafood Festival

Dorset Seafood Festival is one of the highlights of the season for seafood lovers.

The Seafood Festival, now in its ninth year, takes place on Weymouth quayside, attracting visitors from all over the South West. Visitors come to sample expertly cooked fish and seafoods freshly landed by the Weymouth fishing fleet.

More than 80 cookery stalls and cookery demonstrations will be set up along Weymouth harbourside for the two day festival. It’s a colourful, lively weekend with entertainment, music and fun activities for all the family. Weymouth harbour bustles with visiting yachts and sailing ships, while children line the quayside with ‘crabbing’ lines and buckets. Many will make their way to the nearby Weymouth Sea Life Centre and the Sea Life Tower. The Sea Life Centre’s underwater tunnel is a thrill for the children as sharks and other sea creatures circle above their heads.

Upton Grange Holiday Cottages are conveniently close to The Dorset Seafood Festival, just 6 miles east of Weymouth. We’re close enough to enjoy all of the festival activities and just far enough away to experience secluded coves and un-crowded beaches.
